Raising Attainment in KS1 Mathematics

A two half day course (including a gap task) to support implementation of the new 2014 Maths National Curriculum

Target audience: KS1 teachers, Maths Subject leaders, NQTs and RQTs

This course will address:

• Practical strategies to teach the three aims of the new 2014 Maths National Curriculum i.e. fluency, reasoning and problem solving
• Developing mental calculation strategies
• Exploring aspects new to KS1
• Ensuring challenge for all pupils to have maximum impact on pupil attainment
