A full day course across two separate sessions:
Part 1 – Tuesday 25th June, 1-4pm
Part 2 – Tuesday 2nd July, 1-4pm
This course will:
- Share key messages on uninterrupted progress as children move from EYFS into Y1
- Explore the effective transition from the EYFS Framework into the Y1 NC Programmes of Study
- Support development of a quality learning environment which provides continuity and progression from EYFS
- Facilitate discussion on the implementation of an appropriate teaching model which enables quality teaching and learning for all groups
- Explore the crucial role of the adult, ensuring high quality learning and progress for all children
- Provide strategies to accelerate progress for identified children across all attainment groups: within school; through home learning; in partnership with integrated services
All delegates will receive a full electronic pack, which will include: Transition Checklist; Curriculum Overview identifying links from EYFS into KS1 across all areas of learning; Suggested Y1 Teaching Model; Sample Daily Routine; Y1 Learning Environment Audit; Long Term Plan for English; & Sample Text Plan for ‘Bumble Bear’ by Nadia Shireen for Autumn 1 (including – 3 weeks of detailed Literacy planning with linked cross-curriculum activities, weekly challenges and enhancement planning)
