Autumn 2025 EYFS Leadership Meeting will…
1) Provide Updates on Current National Priorities – including:
- New Statutory Framework and EY2P Audit
- Key considerations from DfE Rise Conference, Summer 2025
- Data: (i) Using assessment effectively to make any necessary changes to teaching and ensure an inclusive curriculum (ii) Reviewing and developing systems to ensure all children achieve well from their starting points (iii) Using ‘The Compare your good level of development (GLD) data report’ [DfE]
- CL Development: Strategies to support children whose language is less well developed and/or who do not readily engage with adults
- Supporting self-regulation and providing small steps in learning through backward chaining approach
- Key messages within the Writing Framework for EYFS
- Nutrition: Promoting healthy snacks and lunch boxes
- Additional updates
2) Getting to Know the New Ofsted School Inspection Toolkit – including:
- Key messages
- Leadership role
- Strengthening practice
3) Provide Networking Opportunities – for delegates to share good practice.
Each delegate will receive a full electronic training pack to support ongoing CPD in school.
