EYFS Framework: Observation & Assessment

This course will:
- Examine EYFS in the context of the Statutory Framework and the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
- Share key messages on the importance of observation and assessment within the EYFS
- Provide baseline guidance to ensure accurate starting points for all groups of children across the phase
- Develop the skill of recording significant observations to move children forward in their learning
- Support practitioners to make accurate ‘best-fit’ assessment judgements
- Provide tracking guidance to ensure all groups of children make progress throughout the year
All delegates will receive a full electronic pack, which will include: Observation Top Tips – YN & YR, Documentation to Support Accurate Best-fit Assessment Judgements (including Pathways in Learning and Developmental Stages of Writing Booklet); Nursery / Reception Baseline Guidance; and Guidance on Tracking and Analysing Progress
